Oh YHVH, may You be exalted!
May Your name be praised
Through out all the world
Let every lip sing and dance
Before Your majesty and splendour,
For You alone are worthy of our praise!
You hear the cries of Israel, Your people
And you see how she suffers in silence
No matter is hidden from You
As You look on her affliction
Your heart is sore within You
And tears run down Your cheeks.
How merciful and compassionate
Is our Saviour and King on High!
We are as a plant so tender
And Your love is our support
As the storms surround us
And the mighty winds trouble us
You are forever near to us,
We are not alone nor forsaken!
Your thoughts are not our thoughts
And Your ways are not our ways!
We cannot always understand
Why we are being tested and tried
Yet we shall praise You, Oh YHVH!
You are most righteous and loving,
And Your right hand of mercy
Is outstretched, always!
Praise be to our King, Oh YHVH
Our Saviour and deliverer
Who reigns on High with Sovereignty
Yet dwells amongst us in love.
Praise be to our compassionate El
Who hears the songs and prayers of Israel!
